Accessibility
We want this website to be usable with a keyboard, with a screen reader, at a text size that suits you, and without animation if motion is a problem for you. This page says what we have actually checked and what we have not, so you can judge for yourself rather than take a badge on trust.
What we are aiming at
WCAG 2.1 level AA, the standard EN 301 549 points to and the one the European Accessibility Act is measured against.
What is in place
- Colour contrast. Every text style on this website meets the 4.5:1 ratio AA requires for body text, and 3:1 for large text. Two colours were darkened in September 2026 to get there: the secondary grey, and the orange used for links and buttons.
- Keyboard. Every link, button, and menu can be reached and operated with a keyboard. A "skip to content" link is the first thing you reach on each page, so you do not have to tab through the navigation every time. The two drop-down menus close on Escape and return focus where you left it.
- Focus is visible. Focused elements carry a two-pixel outline; we do not remove it.
- Structure. One
h1per page, headings in order with no levels skipped, and every image carries alternative text or is marked decorative. - Motion. If your system asks for reduced motion, transitions and animations are switched off rather than merely shortened.
- Text size. Layouts are built in relative units and reflow rather than clip when text is enlarged.
- Language. Every page declares its language, so a screen reader pronounces it correctly.
What we have not done
- No independent audit. The checks above are our own, run against the rendered pages. Nobody outside the company has assessed this site.
- No testing with assistive technology in the hands of the people who rely on it. We have not run sessions with screen reader, magnifier, or switch users.
- Product screens are not covered by this page. The registration and ticket purchase flow, the organizer dashboard, and the check-in apps are separate from this marketing website and have not been assessed to the same standard. That work is planned; until it is done we will not claim it.
- Cognitive and language accessibility has had no dedicated review.
Trouble on a page here
Tell us what you were trying to do and where it went wrong: [email protected]. Say which assistive technology and browser you use if that is relevant — it usually shortens the fix considerably. We will reply, and we will say plainly whether we can fix it and when.
If you are attending an event that runs on BagEvent and something on the registration page does not work for you, contact the event organizer as well — they control that page's content and can act on it immediately.
