Refund policy
Two different kinds of payment happen on BagEvent, and refunds work differently for each.
Event tickets
When you buy a ticket to an event run on BagEvent, you pay the event's organizer, not BagEvent. The payment goes straight into the organizer's own Stripe account, and BagEvent never holds ticket money.
That means each organizer sets their own refund policy and decides every refund request. To ask for a refund, contact the organizer — their details are on the event page and in your confirmation email. An approved refund goes back to the original payment method. The help centre explains refunds and cancellations for attendees step by step.
If you cannot reach an organizer, email milo@bagevent.io with your order number and the event name. We will pass your message on, but we cannot make a refund decision for an organizer.
BagEvent subscriptions
This part applies to organizers who pay for a BagEvent plan. It restates what our terms of service say about billing.
- Free trial. The trial needs no credit card, so nothing is charged and there is nothing to refund.
- Upgrades take effect immediately, with the difference prorated.
- Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Your events stay live until then.
- Fees already paid are non-refundable, except where the law requires a refund.
- Marketing email credits are valid for 90 days from purchase and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Subscriptions are charged in US dollars.
If you think you were charged in error, email milo@bagevent.io with your organization's name and we will look into it.
