Event registration software for Singapore and Southeast Asia
Common challenges
A regional audience, one programme
Delegates fly in from across Southeast Asia and further, and each of them has to be able to pay in a currency their company will accept.
Procurement asks where the data lives
Corporate and government buyers want to know which company processes attendee data, in which country, and under which law.
Large halls, one busy hour
Convention-centre networks are shared by thousands of phones, and most delegates arrive in the same hour before the opening keynote.
What to look for in event registration software in Singapore
For an event in Singapore, the questions that decide the shortlist are local ones: where attendee data is held, whose account the money lands in, which payment methods and currencies delegates can use, and whether the desk copes with a convention-centre network. Six checks.
- 01
Where attendee data is held
Ask which company processes the data and in which country. BagEvent is a Singapore company, event data is hosted on Google Cloud in Singapore, Singapore's PDPA applies to its own processing, and a data processing agreement is available to every organizer.
- 02
Whose account the money lands in
With BagEvent you connect your own Stripe account, so your company is the seller on the delegate's card statement and the funds never sit with the platform. BagEvent takes 0% of ticket sales.
- 03
Local payment methods
Delegates paying in Singapore dollars can use PayNow as well as cards and PayPal.
- 04
Currencies your delegates can pay in
Events can be priced in SGD, USD, AUD, HKD, JPY, EUR, GBP or CAD. Ringgit, baht, rupiah, pesos and dong are not available as event currencies today, so regional events usually price in SGD or USD.
- 05
More than one language
Publish the same event in English, Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Each version has its own page but sells from one ticket inventory, and attendees get emails in the language they booked in.
- 06
A desk that copes with a busy hall
The desktop check-in app takes the event offline before doors open, prints badges as delegates arrive, serves the printers for up to three lanes and can run a self-service kiosk — none of which needs an internet connection.
