ATTENDEE NETWORKING
Attendee networking, meetings, and engagement
Key features
Listed only by choice
Networking stays off until you turn it on, and by default attendees are not listed until they choose to be. Directory cards show name, job title, and company — never email or phone.
Suggestions that give a reason
You set the roles and one list of topics attendees offer and seek. BagEvent ranks people by how well they fit — what one offers against what another seeks — and says why each person is suggested.
Requests, never auto-connections
Contact details change hands only when a request is accepted, and only the fields each person allows. Attendees connect from the directory or by scanning each other's card in the app.
Meetings with a time and a place
Attendees ask to meet at a set time, for a set length, in a named place. The other person sees when both are free without seeing why, and can accept, decline, or suggest another time.
Each attendee's own event page
Tickets and their QR codes, orders, and the sessions each attendee starred, in the event's time zone. Attendees sign in with a code sent to their email, with no password to remember.
Stamps, draws, polls, and Q&A
Run a stamp trail across booths and sessions with a reward at the end, prize draws, live polls, and Q&A with upvotes and anonymous questions. Polls, questions, and draws can go up on a paired big screen.
How it works
- 1
Set up matching
Turn networking on, name the roles at your event, and list the topics people offer and seek.
- 2
Attendees opt in
Attendees choose to be listed and say what they offer and what they are looking for.
- 3
Meet on the floor
Suggestions arrive with a reason, and a request becomes a meeting with a time and a place.
Frequently asked questions
No. BagEvent's suggestions come from rules: what one attendee offers against what another seeks, role pairs you define, and shared topics and industry. Colleagues from the same company are left out, and every suggestion states its reason.
Yes. Unless you change the default, attendees are not listed until they switch it on themselves. Anyone who stays hidden cannot browse other attendees either, so the directory only contains people who chose to take part.
Only after a connection request is accepted, and only the fields each person allows. Directory cards and suggestions never include email or phone.
Not for most of it. Tickets, the personal schedule, the directory, meeting requests, polls, and Q&A work in the browser on the event site. Exchanging cards by scanning each other's QR code uses the BagEvent mobile app.
You choose the stops — every booth, or a list of booths, sessions, and other points — and how many stamps earn the reward. Attendees collect a stamp by scanning a stop's code or having their badge scanned there, then claim a code to show where the prize is collected.
Yes. Attendees can browse exhibitors, save stands, and see each stand's staff and running draws. Stand staff who are registered for the event can request meetings on behalf of their stand.
