Terms of service
These terms govern use of the BagEvent platform by event organizers, and use of the BagEvent app by everyone who signs in to it — organizers and their staff, exhibitors, and attendees. By creating an account or signing in to the app you agree to them. Sections that speak of plans, billing, and your responsibilities as organizer apply to organizers only.
The service is provided by BAGEVENT PTE. LTD. (UEN 202600799E), registered at 68 Circular Road, #02-01, Singapore 049422 (referred to below as "we" or "BagEvent"). These terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, and the courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them.
The service
BagEvent provides software for publishing event websites, selling tickets, registering and checking in attendees, and reporting on events. We provide the software; you remain responsible for the events you run on it.
Accounts
You must provide accurate account information and are responsible for activity under your account, including that of team members you invite. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use.
Plans, billing, and trials
Paid plans are Pro, Business, and Enterprise, billed monthly or annually as selected. A 14-day free trial is available without a credit card.
Subscriptions are sold to businesses and organizations, not to consumers. Prices are quoted in USD and exclude any applicable taxes; business customers in the EU and the UK account for VAT under the reverse charge. This does not affect attendees who buy tickets to an event — their contract is with the event organizer, not with us.
Upgrades take effect immediately with the difference prorated. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where required by law.
Marketing email credits are purchased separately, are valid for 90 days from purchase, and are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Ticket revenue and payments
BagEvent charges 0% platform fee on ticket sales. Ticket revenue is collected through your own connected payment account and settles directly to you. We never take custody of your ticket revenue.
You are responsible for your relationship with your payment provider, including their fees, their terms, and any chargebacks. You are responsible for refunds to your attendees, for the tax treatment of your ticket sales, and for any consumer law obligations arising from them.
Your responsibilities as organizer
You are the data controller for attendee data collected through your events. You must have a lawful basis for collecting it, provide attendees with appropriate notice, and honour their rights. Our privacy policy and the Data Processing Agreement set out how we handle that data as your processor.
You are responsible for the accuracy of your event listings, for delivering the events you sell tickets to, and for any content you publish through the platform.
Acceptable use
You may not use the platform to sell tickets to unlawful events, to publish unlawful or infringing content, to send unsolicited bulk email, to attempt to breach the security of the service, or to resell the service without our agreement.
We may suspend an account that breaches this section. Where practical we will give notice first.
Using the app at an event
At events that turn networking on, the app lets people reach each other: attendees and exhibitors can send connection and meeting requests with a message, ask questions in sessions, and show stand profiles and prize draws. Everything you send or publish this way must be lawful and respectful.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You must not use the app to harass, threaten, stalk, or intimidate anyone; to send sexual, hateful, or discriminatory content; to impersonate someone; to send spam or unsolicited promotion; or to share anyone's personal data without their agreement.
Anyone can report a person, a question, a request, or a stand from the menu next to it, and can block a person, which hides the two of them from each other at that event straight away and closes any open requests between them. Every report goes both to the event's organizer and to our team. We act on reports within 24 hours: where content breaks these terms we remove it, and we remove the person responsible from the event or close their BagEvent account. Organizers can also hide a reported question, or cancel the registration of the person responsible, from their dashboard at any time.
To reach us about someone's behaviour or about content in the app, use Contact support in the app's Me tab (Account for organizers) or email [email protected].
Prize draws
Exhibitors and organizers can run free prize draws in the app for people at their event. Each draw is run by the exhibitor or organizer named on it (the sponsor), who is responsible for the draw and for handing over the prizes. The app shows every draw's official rules before anyone enters: who runs it, who can enter, how winners are picked, the prizes, and how to collect them, together with any terms of the sponsor's own.
Entering a draw is always free. No purchase is necessary, and buying a ticket or anything else does not improve your chance of winning. Sponsors must not make a purchase or payment a condition of entering, and must run their draw lawfully in the place the event is held.
BagEvent provides the software the draw runs in and is not its sponsor. Apple and Google are not sponsors of any draw and are not involved with it in any way.
Availability
We aim for continuous availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service except where an uptime commitment is stated in an Enterprise agreement. Planned maintenance will be announced in advance where practical.
Intellectual property
We retain all rights in the platform. You retain all rights in your content, and grant us the licence needed to host and display it in order to provide the service.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including lost profits or lost event revenue.
Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Termination
You may cancel at any time. On termination your account moves to read-only and your data remains exportable for 30 days, after which it may be deleted. Closing your account starts the same 30-day window, during which the closure can still be reversed.
Changes
We may update these terms. Material changes will be notified to account holders by email at least 30 days before they take effect.
