Transferring a ticket
If you can't attend, or you bought a ticket for someone else, you may be able to transfer it so the new holder gets their own e-ticket in their name. The other person fills in their details and receives a fresh check-in code; your original ticket is handed over to them.
When transfers are allowed
Transfers are a per-event feature that the organizer turns on. If it's enabled, you'll see a Gift / transfer option in your event's personal center. If you don't see it, transfers aren't available for that event — contact the organizer through the event page to ask about your options.
Sending a transfer
- Open the personal center for the event and sign in with your registered email and the one-time code (see Opening the personal center).
- Find the ticket you want to give away and choose Gift / transfer.
- BagEvent creates a one-time transfer link and shows it on the page (it's also copied to your clipboard where your browser allows).
- Send the link to the one person who should get the ticket — by message, email, or however you like.
WARNING
Anyone who has the link can claim the ticket, and it works only once and expires after a while (the page tells you when). Send it to a single person, and generate a new link if it expires before they accept.
Once someone accepts the transfer, that ticket becomes theirs and your copy is no longer valid for entry.
Accepting a transfer (for the recipient)
If someone sends you a transfer link:
- Open the link. You'll see the event name and when the invitation expires.
- Enter your full name and email address (and phone, if asked).
- If the sender set a transfer password, enter it — ask the sender if you don't have it.
- Choose Accept ticket.
That's it — you now hold the ticket. You'll get a confirmation (if the organizer has notifications on), and you can open your own account for the event to see and download your e-ticket with its check-in QR code.
TIP
The e-ticket is issued in the details you entered when accepting, so use your own name and an email you check — that's where your ticket and any event updates will go.
