On-site engagement
Everything attendees take part in during the event lives on one page: open your event and go to On-site → Engagement. The tabs are Settings, Announcements, Polls, Q&A, Stamp rally, Prize draws, and Screens.
Attendees see these on their event page and in the BagEvent app. Settings holds the attendee networking switches, covered in Attendee networking.
Exhibitors can run their own polls and draws for people who visit their stand. Those are separate from yours; see Polls, draws, and screens at your stand.
Announcements
New announcement asks for:
- Announcement — the headline, for example Keynote moved to Hall A.
- Detail — optional, one more sentence at most.
- Keep this at the top all day — pins it above everything else.
Save for later keeps it private; Publish makes it visible in the app and on the event page without notifying anyone.
Notify everyone sends a push notification to everyone with the app. It can be used once per announcement, so save it for things people need to act on.
Polls
New poll:
- Write the Question.
- Add at least two Answers (Add an answer for more).
- Choose whether to Let people pick more than one, and whether to Show the tally while voting is open.
- Ask the room now, or Save for later.
A running poll can be stopped with Stop taking answers. Show the tally to attendees reveals the results at any point. Each attendee votes once, and a vote cannot be changed.
Filter the list by Running, Not live, and Closed.
Q&A
Attendees post questions and upvote each other's. Questions appear straight away; you moderate after the fact.
Under Questions from the floor, sorted by upvotes, each question has:
- Put up — show it on your event screen.
- Answered — move it to the handled list.
- Hide — take it down.
Already handled lists answered and hidden questions, with Put back if you hid one by mistake.
An attendee can ask up to 12 questions. If they chose to hide their name, other attendees and the screen do not see it; you still do.
Stamp rally
A stamp rally sends people around the floor: they collect a stamp at each stop and claim a reward once they have enough.

Choosing stops
Leave the stop list empty and every booth counts. Otherwise use Add a stop… to pick exhibitors, sessions, or other scan points, or Add a stop of your own… — a booth, sponsor area, breakout session, photo stand, or anything custom.
If you list fewer stops than the stamps needed, the editor warns you: nobody could finish.
How attendees collect stamps
A stamp is a visit recorded at a stop. An attendee gets one by scanning the stop's code in the app, or by having their badge scanned there by stand staff.
When they have enough, they claim a reward code and show it where you said the prize is collected.
Save draft keeps a rally invisible. Publish makes it live. End it stops new stamps; codes already issued stay valid.
In the rally list, Where people went shows traffic per stop, and the counters show how many people Started and Finished.
Every attendee who finishes can claim the reward, so have enough prizes for everyone likely to finish, and check codes at the prize desk by eye.
Prize draws
New draw opens the draw editor.
Kind of draw

The kind cannot change once people have entered.
The rest of the editor
- Name and Collect prizes at.
- Prizes with In stock (or Winners for scheduled draws) and an optional image link.
- Animation — Wheel, Grid, Slot machine, Pinball, Red packet, or Name scroll. It is only a show: the result is always decided by BagEvent, not by the animation.
- What to ask before they are in — optional questions, as free text or a pick-one list, each optionally Required.
- Who may enter — Anyone with a ticket, or Only people who checked in.
The preview shows What an entrant sees. Save draft or Publish.
Each attendee enters a draw once. Winners are notified in the app, or by email if they have no account, and get a code to show where prizes are collected.
Close stops new entries; winners keep their prizes.
WARNING
A closed draw no longer appears in attendees' lists, so a winner can no longer open it to show their code. Close a scheduled draw only after winners have collected their prizes.
Screens
Any TV, projector, or spare laptop can be an event screen, with no sign-in on the screen itself.
- On the screen, open the address shown at the top of Engagement → Screens (it ends in
/s). It shows Pair this screen, a six-digit code, and a QR code. The code is valid for ten minutes. - In Engagement → Screens, enter the Code on the screen, give it a Name such as Hall A, left of stage, and Pair screen. You can also pair by scanning the QR code with the BagEvent app.
- The screen now follows your commands. Its status shows Online or Offline.

With more than one screen, Put on screen… lets you choose a screen, All screens, or New screen…. Take down returns the screen to the wall. Unpair releases a screen, as does Disconnect on the screen itself.
Your screens cannot show an exhibitor's polls or draws, and a stand's screens cannot show yours.
