Sales teams

Sales teams are the people who invite prospects to your events on your terms — your own sales staff, and outside partners such as resellers and agencies. They are managed in one place, Sales in the sidebar, and they are separate from team members:

Somebody who is already a member (an event manager, say) can still be put on a sales team to invite people. They keep their member role.

The Sales page

Sales has two tabs.

  • Organization — laid out like an address book. The team tree is on the left; All people at the top lists everyone on any team, once each, with the teams they are on. Pick a team to see its people and sub-teams on the right.
  • Pending — every team's join requests in one list. Narrow it to one team, or tick Show decided to see the answered ones.

A team with requests waiting shows an orange count in the tree.

Teams and the tree

Choose + New team and pick who will be on it. This can't be changed later:

  • Internal — people in your organization. They join on a sales-only role.
  • Partner — outside resellers or agencies, invited by email. They sign in with any BagEvent account and only ever see their own sales workspace.

Teams nest up to four levels (for example APAC / Singapore / Enterprise). Use + Sub-team on a team to add one under it; a sub-team is the same type as its top-level team. Under More on a team you can rename it, Move it (with its sub-teams) under another team or to the top level, and Archive it.

The tree matters beyond tidiness:

  • Managers see down the tree. A team manager sees their own team's invitations and every team below it, and can approve for them.
  • Seat allotments follow the tree. An event rule can cap a team, and the cap counts the whole subtree.
  • Rules open to subtrees. Ticking a team on an event rule lets its sub-teams invite too.

Archiving a team stops its people inviting through it and stops its pending invitations until you restore it.

Adding people

Open a team and choose + Add member (internal) or + Invite partner (partner).

  • Someone already in your organization — pick them from the list. They are added at once.
  • Someone new, by email — they get an invitation to join your organization on the Sales role, or Sales manager if they will lead a team. The link works once and expires in 7 days; Re-send issues a fresh one.
  • A partner — enter their email; they accept by signing in with any BagEvent account.

On each person you can Make manager / Make member, Re-send a pending invitation, or Remove them. A team manager must hold the Sales manager role; somebody on the plain Sales role can only be a member.

Instead of inviting people one by one, share a link and let them ask. On a team, choose Join link:

  • Turn it on, then Copy the link or Download QR to put it in a message, a slide or a poster.
  • People open it, confirm their email with a six-digit code (no BagEvent account needed first), and give their name and, optionally, a phone number.
  • The request appears under Pending. You or a manager of the team (or a team above it) Approve or Reject it. On approval you choose their organization role (internal teams) and team role.
  • Rotate link replaces it; the old link stops working at once. Requests already made are kept.

Import with AI

To set up many teams at once, choose Import with AI on the Sales page:

  1. Paste a list or table, or add an Excel / CSV file or a screenshot of your org chart. Spreadsheets are shown as text first, so you can check and edit them.
  2. Choose Draft with AI. The draft lists the teams it will create (new or already there) and each person with their team and role. Rows without an email are skipped and noted.
  3. Review: untick anyone you don't want, change Member / Manager, and set new top-level teams to Internal or Partner.
  4. Import. Missing teams are created parents first, then everyone ticked gets their invitation. Each row shows its result.

Nothing is created until you import. The draft uses your plan's AI allowance; very large files are read in parts.
