Plans, trial & billing
Every organization on BagEvent has its own plan. It starts with a 14-day free trial — no credit card needed — and you choose a plan when you're ready. Open Plan & billing under Settings in the left navigation.
Anyone in the organization can see this page. Subscribing, changing or cancelling the plan, managing the card and buying email credits need the payment-account permission (owners have it).
The plans
| Pro | Business | Enterprise | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Price (monthly billing) | USD 129 / month | USD 599 / month | Agreed with BagEvent |
| Price (annual billing) | USD 99 / month, billed annually | USD 479 / month, billed annually | Agreed with BagEvent |
| Events created | 5 per calendar month | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Attendees per event | 1,000 | 10,000 | Unlimited |
| Team members | 5 | 30 | Unlimited |
| API & webhooks | — | Yes | Yes |
| "Powered by BagEvent" line removed | — | Yes | Yes |
| Fee on ticket sales | 0% | 0% | 0% |
On every plan, ticket money goes straight into your own Stripe account — see Connecting Stripe — and system emails such as confirmations and e-tickets are unlimited. Marketing broadcasts use email credits, which you buy separately.
The Usage card shows Events created this month and Team members against your plan's limits, and states the Attendees per event limit.
The events limit counts the events you create in a calendar month (months run on UTC time), not the events you have in total. Cancelled events, deleted drafts, copies of the sample event and extra language versions of an event don't count. When the month's limit is used up, creating or duplicating an event is refused with "Monthly event limit reached: your plan allows 5 new events per month" (the number is your plan's) until the next month starts. Team seats are explained in Team members.
Enterprise isn't bought in the app: it's set up by the BagEvent team. Contact us to talk about it.
The free trial
- 14 days, no credit card. A new organization starts its trial straight away, with Pro's features and limits.
- You can sell tickets. Connect Stripe and take real payments within a fair-use cap of 50 paid registrations and USD 500 in total. See Selling during the free trial.
- Reminders. A banner at the top of the console shows the days left, and owners get an email 3 days before the trial ends and again on the last day.
Each organization gets one trial.
When the trial ends without a plan
Nothing is deleted. Your events, registrations and data stay as they are, and published event pages stay up for attendees. What pauses until you choose a plan:
- Editing — creating, editing, publishing or copying events, adding language versions, and inviting team members.
- Paid ticket sales — checkout for paid tickets is refused, so buyers can't pay. Free registrations keep working.
- Connecting Stripe — the Payment methods page shows Activate plan to connect.
Automatic emails (confirmations, e-tickets) keep going out, and you can still view and export your data. Choose a plan and everything resumes.
Subscribe
- On Plan & billing, choose Subscribe →.
- Pick Monthly or Annual · Save more, then the plan.
- Select Subscribe to PRO (or the plan you picked). You're taken to Stripe's secure checkout to pay by card.
- When you return, the page shows your plan and the Next payment date.
Subscriptions are charged in US dollars, by card, through Stripe. Prices exclude any taxes that may apply. Subscribing during the trial ends the trial and starts your paid plan.
Change, pay or cancel
- Change plan → switches between plans or between monthly and annual billing. BagEvent tells you how the change is charged before you confirm:
- An upgrade applies now. Moving to a higher plan charges your card the prorated difference for the rest of the billing period straight away; if the charge fails, nothing changes. Moving from monthly to annual restarts the billing period today and charges you now, less a credit for the unused part of your current plan.
- A downgrade waits for the end of the period you've paid for. Moving to a lower plan, or from annual to monthly, keeps your current plan and its limits until then; nothing is charged for the change, and your next payment is at the new price. Until that date the page shows Changes to … with the date, and a Keep … button (for example Keep BUSINESS) that calls the change off.
- Switch to annual appears on monthly plans as a shortcut.
- Manage billing → opens Stripe's billing portal, where you update your card.
- Cancel subscription stops the plan from renewing. You keep full access until the end of the period you've paid for, and you can Resume subscription any time before then. After that, the organization is treated like an ended trial (see above).
If a renewal payment fails
The plan shows Payment failed, and nothing is switched off straight away:
- You get a 7-day grace period. Paid ticket sales carry on during it, your events stay live and free registrations are unaffected. The page shows the date the grace period ends.
- The owners are emailed when the payment first fails — with that date and a link to update the card — and again if the grace period ends with the payment still unpaid.
- Stripe retries the payment automatically over the following days. Choose Update payment method → (or Manage billing →) to change the card.
- If the payment still hasn't gone through when the grace period ends, checkout for paid tickets and connecting Stripe pause until it does. They resume by themselves as soon as the payment succeeds.
You can't change plan while a payment is outstanding. If the invoice is never paid, the subscription ends and the organization is treated like an ended trial (see above).
Invoices and receipts
Your subscription invoices and receipts are kept in Stripe: under Billing history, choose Invoices and receipts → to open them. The table under Billing history lists your email credit purchases.
To put your company details on your own tickets' invoices to attendees, see Invoices & tax settings.
More than one organization
Each organization has its own plan, trial, Stripe account and email credits. If you run events for separate businesses, create an organizer for each under Account → Organizers — see Account & security.
