Your event page and networking
Besides your ticket, an event on BagEvent can give you a personal event page and the BagEvent app. You can build your own schedule, find people worth meeting, visit exhibitors, and take part in what is happening in the room.
What you see depends on what the organizer has switched on. If a tab below is missing, that event is not using it.
Sign in to your event page
Open My tickets on the event site.
- Enter your Email address and Send passcode.
- If that email has a registration for this event, a passcode is sent to it. It expires after 10 minutes.
- Enter the 6-digit passcode and Continue.
There is no password. Tick Keep me signed in on this device for 30 days only on your own device. Sign out everywhere signs you out on every device where you opened the page.
The page is grouped into three sets of tabs:

Your own schedule
On Schedule, star a session with Add to my schedule, then switch to My schedule to see only your sessions. Times are in the event's time zone. Your stars stay after the event.
In the app, the Schedule tab groups sessions by day and marks what is On now and Next.
Add to calendar on your ticket adds the event to Google Calendar, Outlook.com, Outlook (work or school), or Apple and other calendars (.ics).
Meet people
Networking only appears if the organizer turned it on.
Choose whether people can find you
The first time you open Connect, you are asked Let other attendees find you?
- Yes, find me — other attendees can see you in the directory and in suggestions.
- Keep me hidden — nobody can find you, and you cannot browse others either.
You can change this at any time. In the app: Me → Networking → Let people here find me.
Other attendees see your name, job title, and company. Your email and phone stay hidden until you accept someone's request. In the app you can choose whether to share each one even then: Share my email once connected and Share my phone once connected.
Say what you are here for
Under What you're here for, choose Edit. Depending on the event, you are asked:
- My role
- I can offer
- I'm looking for
- Topics
Use + Add your own if your answer is not listed, then Save and update my suggestions.
Suggestions
Worth meeting lists people who fit what you said, each with a reason — for example They offer Machine vision or Roles that fit: Buyer ↔ Supplier. Suggestions come from those answers, not from anything else about you. Colleagues from your own company are not suggested.
Suggestions may open a few days before the event; the page says when.
Browse the directory
People lets you search by name, company, or job title, and filter by tag. Only attendees who chose to be found are listed.
Connect
- Connect on anyone in suggestions or the directory sends a request.
- In the app, show My card for someone to scan, or tap Scan to scan theirs. Scanning cards needs the app.
- Requests waiting for you appear under N waiting for you → Accept or Not now.
Once a request is accepted, you both see each other's shared details under Connected. If you both scan each other's cards, the second scan counts as accepting.
If someone declines, you can ask them again after a day.
To exchange cards on the web page, Agree and create my card first. If your email already has a BagEvent account, you get a code to sign in.
Meetings
Choose Meet on a person (in the app, Ask to meet).
- Pick the Day and Time. Times that clash with something either of you already has are struck through — without saying what the clash is.
- Choose How long: 15 to 60 minutes on the web, 15 to 45 in the app.
- Enter Where — a meeting point, stand, or café.
- Add a Message (optional), then Send the request.
The other person can accept, decline, or Suggest another time. Accepting also connects you. Either of you can Move or Cancel a meeting.
After a meeting, you can mark whether it was worth it. The other person never sees your answer.
BagEvent does not reserve a table or room for you, so agree on the place in the request.
Exhibitors
Exhibitors lists every company at the event. Search by company or booth, filter by Saved or Visited, and Save stands you want to find again. Saved stands stay after the event.
A stand's page shows:
- what the company does, its opening hours, and what it is showing;
- Happening at this stand — its polls and draws;
- On the stand — staff you can connect with or ask to meet;
- Stamp trails — whether you have been stamped there.
A stand's polls and draws open to you once you have visited: scan the stand's code in the app, or have your badge scanned by the stand's staff.
TIP
Saving a stand does not share anything with the exhibitor. Being scanned at a stand, or entering its prize draw, creates a lead for that exhibitor with whatever you agreed to share with exhibitors.
Stamp trails
If the event runs a stamp rally, Live on the web and Stamp trail in the app show your progress. The trail lists how many stamps you need and the reward.
- Collect a stamp by scanning a stop's code in the app, or by having your badge scanned at the stop.
- When you have enough, choose Get my code on the web, or Claim your reward in the app.
- Show the code where the prize is collected.
Prize draws
Open draws appear under Live on the web and on your app home screen. Choose Enter the draw; some draws ask a question or two first.
What happens next depends on the draw:

You can enter each draw once. Some draws are open only to people who checked in, or who visited a particular stand.
Winners are told in the app, or by email if they have no BagEvent account. Collect your prize before the draw is closed: once the organizer closes it, it no longer appears under Live.
Polls and questions
- Polls: pick your answer (or several, where allowed) and submit. Some polls only show results once you have answered. Your vote cannot be changed.
- Questions: ask the speakers from Live on the web or Audience Q&A in the app, and upvote the questions you want answered.
- On the web, tick Hide my name from the room to ask without your name being shown to other attendees or on the screen. The organizer still sees who asked.
- In the app, you can Withdraw your own question.
Notifications
Connection requests, meeting updates, prizes, and announcements appear under Notifications on the web and on the app home screen. On the web you can Turn on desktop alerts.
If you do not have a BagEvent account, these come to your email instead.
